I will be the first to admit that I did not see that coming.
People have been buzzing about the return of Ken Miller and I didn’t think he was going to make a difference. Boy was I wrong. I haven’t been the biggest fan of Miller, but he clearly has an effect on his players.
The Riders played well on both sides of the ball and managed to beat the best team in the league in the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Quarterback Darian Durant seemed more at ease, running the ball and airing it for his receivers. And the defence didn’t allow the Bombers to score a touchdown.
The Riders have a long, uphill battle but this win was a big one.
